A pervasive belief in modern society is that science detracts from nature, that understanding reality at a fundamental level, the how and why, clouds its beauty. To that pervasive belief and all its acolytes I say “Nonsense – here’s a comic by Abstruse Goose.”
If I were glancing upon that scene, I’d also be visualising the evolutionary relationships between the trees, ferns, carrots, rabbits and birds. What’s more beautiful than a phylogenetic tree?
Thanks to Alles was lebt for bringing this to my attention. Danke.
