I’ve been… far too busy. I’ve started a volunteer position at lab near my university (more on that later on, I promise), mid-year exams are coming up and I’ve had a lot on my mind – leaving little time for blogging, I’m afraid.
The TWiID that should have been posted a couple of days ago will instead be rolled into next week’s one, which is actually okay, considering the rather limited selection of blog posts on offer from the Discovery Institute lately… I’ve noticed downward trends in [...]

No This Week in Intelligent Design tonight, sorry. See this is why we can’t have nice things I shouldn’t promise posts at certain times – things always come up and spoil it for everyone.
As another attempt at appeasing you all, I was going to post a great song by Andrew Bird, one of my favourite musicians, entitled “Tables and Chairs” (I thought it was nominally appropriate), but apparently YouTube embedding isn’t working at the moment. So here’s something at least as good.

This SMBC comic is brilliant. So brilliant – brilliantly large, in fact – that it’s below the fold. Just don’t break your brain in the process of absorbing its contents.

Once again, Zach Weiner captures my very essence via the medium of webcomics. This has got to stop sometime, right? I mean, this blog is filled with so much SMBC that I fear Zach will soon file for copyright infringement.

December 2nd, 2010 | Category: tabletop transitionals This SMBC sums up a lot of what I feel about mainstream science journalism. There’s not much more to add, really. Just don’t do it, journalists.
Oh, and tomorrow there will be a special This Month in Intelligent Design post to make up for my lack of TWiID over the past month. Not that much has been going on in the ID community recently, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

November 22nd, 2010 | Category: tabletop transitionals Sigh. I thought I would have enough time to get back to my usual Monday Science Link and This Week in Intelligent Design, but it looks like that won’t be possible until after TAM Australia. Damn, another week where I let you all down in a way that you’ll probably get over very quickly.
Anyway, to somehow help ease the pain, here’s another brilliant SMBC comic. Oh, and Zach, the guy behind it, has a book that he wants you to buy, the newly-released print version of another [...]

October 27th, 2010 | Category: tabletop transitionals Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal seems to be creating a trend…
But I can laugh at this one more freely because it’s about writers! Hah, silly writers, you’re comedy gold. Get a real job, one where sexy vampires don’t rule all.
