February 20th, 2012 | Category: this week in intelligent design Intelligent design news, commentary and discussion from the 11th of February to the 19th of February, 2012.
So, it happened again: the Discovery Institute decided to notice something I wrote about them. I’m not sure if it’s because I write for The Panda’s Thumb and they see me as the weakest, undergraduate link in its strong chain of esteemed, proper biologists, or because my criticisms of their ideas are annoying, but they seem to focus on me quite a lot. Ah well, any recognition is good recognition, right?

March 29th, 2011 | Category: intelligent design Screw The Guardian, I’ve really made it as a blogger now: David Klinghoffer mentioned me (twice!) in a recent post on Evolution News & Views, the Discovery Institute’s main blog, on the supposed link between ID and agnosticism. Of course, I’m pleased (in a masochistic-ish kind of way), because this is something I’ve been working towards for a few years now, but I can’t help but feel a little let down by the context in which I was mentioned.
You see, David took my [...]

Intelligent design news from the 9th of March to the 15th of March, 2011.
Another week, another lot of posts by the ID community to sort through. As you may have noticed by now, I’ve given up on devoting much time to anything posted on Uncommon Descent (except for quick links), due to their insular nature (they seem to be read only by their preexisting, fervent community), their complete lack of substantial and interesting discussion, and their overwhelmingly religious tone, which I’m fairly sure robbed them of any [...]

March 13th, 2011 | Category: announcement Some extremely exciting news: I’ve been offered to become a part of the team over at The Panda’s Thumb!
For those unaware, The Panda’s Thumb is the single greatest evolution-defending/intelligent design-attacking blog out there. It’s been running since 2004, and features such contributors as PZ Myers, John Wilkins, Nick Matzke, Jason Rosenhouse, Wesley Elsberry, Jeffrey Shallit… The list goes on. These are the big players, the ones who have been fighting against the Discovery Institute since [...]

February 2nd, 2011 | Category: this week in intelligent design Intelligent design news from the 26th of January to the 1st of February, 2011.
Well, I got Part 1 of my 2010 wrap up done, but it’s time to stop looking in the (relatively) distant past and focus on what just happened. Come on, no time for idle chatter, even if it is one-way! There’s work to be done.
Intelligent design news from the 26th of January to the [...]

Intelligent design news from the 11th of August to the 17th of August, 2010.
Here I was thinking that the Discovery Institute and friends were going to continue their trend of delivering fewer and fewer blog posts every week. I even thought they hadn’t noticed what they were doing. Clearly, I was wrong. I mean, wow – Uncommon Descent went on a posting spree this week, throwing out articles about any little thing that crossed their mind. Sure, there were the usual comments on breaking scientific research that the authors [...]
